Job Title : Sales & Marketing Generalist

Department : Sales & Partnerships

Reports To : CEO

About the Role

Reporting to the CEO, and collaborating with every functional team at Tersus, you will be part of a small, scrappy, fun and entrepreneurial team. The Sales & Marketing Generalist is primarily responsible for managing our pipelines across our recommerce and down businesses. As a team of one, you will be responsible for executing key sales and marketing initiatives, supporting sales enablement, managing our digital and social presence, and designing visually compelling content across multiple platforms. As the company scales, this role offers the opportunity to grow into broader sales, marketing, or communications leadership. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and marketing in a start-up environment, as well as strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. The Generalist will have a GM mindset and be willing to get your hands dirty across functions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Generate new leads through outbound efforts and qualify prospects
  • Manage our pipeline in Hubspot for our Recommerce and Down Recycling businesses
  • Create marketing and sales collateral, including pitch decks, flyers, case studies, and presentations
  • Design graphics, layouts, and digital content that align with TERSUS brand guidelines
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers
  • Conduct and drive RFPs, sales presentations, and support the team to close deals
  • Help operate TERSUS’s social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube), including content creation, posting, engagement, and basic analytics reporting.
  • Support trade shows and events by creating booth materials, coordinating shipments, and preparing marketing assets, and attending as needed.
  • Help maintain a digital asset library (photos, videos, sales tools, templates).
  • Create and repurpose assets for a content library for use with social media, blogs, articles, case studies, RFPs, etc.
  • Manage website updates and conduct basic SEO optimization tactics.
  • Assist with basic PR efforts, including drafting press releases or coordinating external announcements with our PR agency.
  • Track and report on sales performance
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and industry trends

This position requires:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to jump into any and all tasks to help the company succeed
  • Proven track record of success in meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Experience in retail/ecommerce, brand, or manufacturing industry
  • Ability to build sales decks and manage marketing content
  • Demonstrated experience of owning and growing commercial relationships
  • Ability to think horizontally across many customers and their needs and strategically connect those needs to Tersus
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Comfortable communicating to senior management and business leaders in a clear and effective manner
  • Comfortable in an ambiguous, fast-paced and high growth start-up environment
  • Proactivity. Acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the company
  • 3+ years of experience in sales and/or marketing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google
  • In office in our Denver warehouses and may require some travel

Salary range is $77,000-$100,000 depending on experience and fit, with bonus potential tied to performance.
