About the Role

As an Architect - Electrical Engineer, you'll play a key role in planning, designing, and overseeing construction projects, including additions, renovations, and facility upgrades. Reporting to the Design Manager, you'll bring your expertise in electrical engineering to support innovative and high-quality healthcare environments.

What You'll Do

Design, review, and prepare engineering construction documents.
Ensure projects align with industry regulations and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors.
Oversee the implementation of electrical systems for buildings.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to engineering teams.

What We're Looking For

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred).

Licensure/Certification:

Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Maryland (required).

Experience:
Candidates should have experience in designing electrical systems for buildings, based on education level:

Bachelor's degree: 6+ years of engineering design experience.
Associate's degree: 10+ years of engineering design experience.
High school diploma: 16+ years of engineering design experience.

Additionally, candidates should have 4+ years of experience in the design of:

Medical facilities, research labs, or similar projects. OR
Power and energy plants, including distribution systems.

Skills & Abilities

Strong knowledge of construction methods, design principles, and engineering best practices.
Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, project management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to lead design efforts and provide clear guidance to engineering teams.
Experience working with contractors, vendors, and consultants in a professional setting.
