Description Robert Half is working with an established law firm in Sherman Oaks looking for a fantastic legal secretary to join its tenured team! This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in civil litigation who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The position offers an opportunity to work closely with attorneys while handling key administrative and legal responsibilities. Responsibilities: - Provide direct support to a senior partner and two associates, managing a 3:1 desk setup. - Format and prepare legal documents, including Tables of Authorities (TOA) and Tables of Contents (TOC). - Handle state and federal court filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. - Oversee legal calendaring using Microsoft Outlook to manage deadlines and appointments. - Enter timesheets into Coyote Analytics for timekeeping and billing purposes. - Assist with correspondence and communication, maintaining precise client relations. - Cover reception duties during the lunch hour of the receptionist. - Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive for case management and organizational tasks. - Ensure timely and efficient document handling and case updates. - Collaborate with attorneys to maintain smooth operations and workflow. Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation support. - Proficiency in legal calendaring tools such as CompuLaw and Microsoft Outlook. - Strong skills in e-Filing and document formatting for legal purposes. - Ability to manage client relations with professionalism and discretion. - Competence in handling Tables of Authorities (TOA) and Tables of Contents (TOC). - Familiarity with legal billing systems such as Coyote Analytics. - Excellent organizational skills and a proactive mindset to anticipate needs. - Must demonstrate professionalism in appearance, communication, and conduct.
