Job Description

Memco is seeking a reliable and experienced Certified Forklift Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials. The forklift driver will ensure efficiency and safety in the outdoor construction yard or job site environment, maintaining organization and supporting the yard material team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate powered industrial trucks (forklifts) to load and unload materials and organize materials in the construction yard.
• Move goods packed on pallets or in crates around the facility or outdoor job site.
• Stack and organize products and materials in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures at all times.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate operations.

Requirements:

• Valid forklift certification (must be current and OSHA-compliant).
• Proven experience as a forklift operator (1+ years)
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working on a commercial job site operating a forklift or pallet jack
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
