Department Overview
The Warrensville Heights Fire Department proudly serves the City of Warrensville Heights over 13,000 residents with 24/7 fire protection and emergency medical services. Staffing consist of 30 full-time sworn members, who are state certified firefighters and paramedics. The Fire Department is comprised of the Fire Chief, Fire Captain, six Lieutenants, and twenty-two Firefighters. The department responds to on average 3,800 calls for service annually, with two engines, one ladder truck, and two ALS squads.
The Warrensville Heights Fire Department has a strong mutual aid program with neighboring communities and participates in regional collaboration. Members hold assignments on the Technical Rescue team. The department responds to a variety of hazards in residential, commercial, and industrial facilities.

Cuyahoga Community College Physical Agility test certificate issued within one year of deadline for application.

Additional Requirements:
No person shall be eligible to receive an original appointment as a firefighter unless the person has reached the age of 21 years. Furthermore, no person is eligible to receive an original appointment as a firefighter on or after the person's thirty-fifth (35) birthday.
Residency requirement: Must reside within the County of Cuyahoga, Ohio or any adjacent county within one year of appointment and throughout the applicant' s employment with the City.
