CATERING MANAGER
The Catering Manager at Chick-fil-A Greengate Centre is a professional and leader in the restaurant dedicated to leading effective day-to-day catering operations and ensuring a positive guest experience in relation to hospitality, food quality, order accuracy and timing.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Catering Guest Services & Hospitality:
- Provide a positive guest experience consistent with Chick-fil-A brand, culture and standard of excellence
- Provide Second Mile Service to all catering guests (ex: cards for special occasions)
- Maintain and continue to grow existing relationships with catering guests
- Assist guests with placing orders
- Serve accurate and complete orders to guests
- Deliver food to catering guests
- Assist guests with setting up and serving food, as needed
- Make confirmation phone calls for upcoming orders
- Assist with following up with catering guests for feedback
Lead Day- to- Day Catering Operations:
- Write up and ring in catering orders
- Write up, ring in and build teacher lunches and packaged meal orders
- Enter orders into deferred system
- Process payments and handle cash
- Prepare orders and bags for the upcoming day and days(s)
- Gather necessary items and assist delivery drivers to depart on time
- Assist with maintaining catering book and time slots (ex: Saturdays and holidays)
- Assist with catering data entry and record keeping
- Create a culture of continuous improvement and communicate operational improvements to Catering Director
- Assist with keeping catering area clean
- Assist with keeping catering equipment clean and in working order
- Enter orders into AirTable and print for daily use
- Sign out and check in TMS units
- Lead opening catering procedures and end of day catering procedures
- Lead other catering team members to assist with daily catering operations
Lead Day-to-Day Catering Food Production
- Execute catering orders according to the daily schedule
- Work closely with and maintain an open line of communication with kitchen team members to effectively execute catering operations
- Assist kitchen with preparing orders (ex: wrapping sandwiches, counting trays, etc)
- Assist with monitoring food quality, food safety and presentation to maintain Chick-fil-A’s reputation for excellence
- Compliance with health and safety regulations aligned with Chick-fil-A’s policies and brand standards
Training and Building Sales
- Assist with training Catering Support Team Members and Delivery Drivers
- Assist with training team members on basic catering procedures
- Assist with distribution of marketing materials to potential catering guests to continue building awareness of Chick-fil-A Catering
- Discuss creative ways to grow catering sales inside and outside the restaurant with Catering Director
General Requirements
- Minimum of two (2) years catering experience required
- Must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours a week
- MUST have open availability and be able to work a flexible schedule (any day of the week (except Sundays) and any time of the day (morning, afternoon and evening)
- MUST be available to work summer holidays and days leading up to and around major holidays (Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, New Years Eve, New Years Day)
- Must have a valid drivers license, good driving record and personal vehicle that can be used for deliveries and business travel
- Must be ServeSafe certified
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel; other programs beneficial
- Reports to Catering Director
