As a Lead Cashier (LC) at Ulta Beauty, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering an exceptional guest experience while ensuring efficient cashiering operations and upholding our cashwrap standards. You will guide and support cashier teams, assist with training, and drive loyalty and credit program engagement. This position requires leadership, attention to detail, and a strong passion for guest service. Key Responsibilities: Guest Experience & Performance Deliver personalized service and educate guests on Ulta Beauty products and services. Ensure smooth sales, returns, and exchanges at the register. Support in-store events, service bookings, and credit/loyalty program sign-ups. Maintain organized and fully stocked cashwrap and impulse areas. Assist in onboarding and training of new cashiers and cross-train other team members. Lead cashier “chat-ins” and “chat-outs” and provide daily coaching and feedback. Inspire peers to meet performance and service goals. Perform register opening/closing tasks. Uphold Ulta’s standards in appearance, cleanliness, safety, and loss prevention. Ensure proper handling of all cash/media transactions. Support leadership with associate exit inspections and compliance routines. Qualifications: Preferred Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience (retail/cashiering) Proven ability to lead, train, and deliver results in a customer-facing environment Skills Required: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency with POS systems and mobile technology Ability to multitask, prioritize, and solve problems in a fast-paced setting Customer-focused with a strong sense of accountability Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, move, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs throughout shift Frequent use of hands and coordination for register and restocking tasks
